“So diverse, yet so united”. This phrase usually describes India. It also holds true for the culture of India. It is said that the language (or the accent) in India changes every 20 kms!

Large number of people have ruled India and each one of them has left their own culture, tradition and ways back here. It can be called the flexibility in Indian culture that has resulted in the acceptance of all the cultures and traditions.

People in India generally greet one another with “Namaste”, a word similar to “Hello”. A person usually greets his elders with “Namaste”, placing both the palms together, raising them below the chin.

Flowers are the best mode of expression found in Indian tradition. People are honored, felicitated, get married by exchanging flower garlands. Flowers are considered pious and therefore offered to Gods and Goddesses.

The best depiction of culture of a India can be seen in the women of that particular area. The clothes and jewelry they wear are the best showcase of their tradition. Indian sari is famous all over the world.

India being a secular state is home to various cast and creeds. Hindus, Muslims, Sikh, Christian, Jains, Bhuddhist enjoy equal rights here.
India is also called the “Land of Gods”. You can find a temple,mosque, gurudwara at almost every place you visit.
